Join Sophie Wootton & Dave Short - contestants on The Great Pottery Throw Down, 2024 - for an exclusive, high-energy afternoon of throwdown-style clay challenges! Packed with creativity, laughter & a touch of friendly competition, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
WHAT’S IN STORE:
Expect live demos, hands-on fun, expert guidance & plenty of laughs as Dave & Sophie cheer you on every step of the way! Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned potter, this exciting, light-hearted event is for everyone.
Main Make Challenge - Hand-build your own amazing animal sculpture using 500g of clay. Let your creativity run wild as you sculpt & shape your masterpiece.
Spot Test Challenge - Test your decorating & carving skills in a fast-paced tile challenge. Precision, flair & a steady hand will be key!
Throw Down Challenge - Experience the thrill of the potter’s wheel as you attempt to throw a series of identical bowls - just like they do on the show!
Judging & Prizes - At the end, Dave & Sophie will judge your creations, announce the results & award prizes to the winners… and who knows, there may even be a few tears!
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Expert demonstrations & tuition - Learn from Great Pottery Throw Down stars Sophie & Dave, as they guide you through three action-packed clay challenges.
Everything you need will be provided, including tools, materials & an apron.
Take home your best two creations - your masterpieces will be boxed for safe transport. Or if you prefer to have anything professionally fired & glazed this can be arranged on the day for £8 per item, payable to Dave.
