TERMS & CONDITIONS OF BOOKING

Please read these terms carefully before booking, and feel free to contact us if you have any questions. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms and conditions. Honeybourne Pottery reserves the right to amend them at any time.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations or requests to transfer to an alternative date are subject to availability and must be made in writing via email to info@honeybournepottery.co.uk. Please check your diary carefully before booking, as all workshops are non-refundable under all circumstances, including illness due to COVID-19. However, bookings can be transferred under the following conditions:

  • Sending a replacement: You may send someone in your place at any time without incurring a fee. It is your responsibility to find a replacement and inform us in advance of the name change.

  • Rescheduling: If you wish to reschedule, the following fees apply:

    • More than 21 days' notice: £5 administration fee per person

    • Less than 21 days' notice: 25% of the workshop fee

    • Less than 14 days' notice: 50% of the workshop fee

    • Less than 72 hours' notice or failure to attend: Full workshop fee is forfeited

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a workshop, we will provide as much notice as possible. Honeybourne Pottery reserves the right to cancel workshops, including on the day, if insufficient bookings have been received or due to unforeseen circumstances. If a class is cancelled, attendees will be offered the choice of a full refund, rescheduling to a future date, or a gift voucher.

If we are required to close due to a pandemic or government restrictions (e.g., COVID-19), your booking will be honoured with a gift voucher redeemable at a later date. We are not liable for any losses or expenses incurred as a result of amendments or cancellations.

LATE ATTENDANCE

Please arrive on time for all workshops, as each session runs within a set timeframe, and we aim to start promptly as advertised.

If you arrive late, we are unable to extend the class to make up for lost time. Additionally, if your late arrival disrupts the session, the tutor reserves the right to refuse entry. In such cases, this will be treated as a late cancellation, and the full workshop fee will be forfeited.

We recommend allowing extra travel time to ensure you arrive promptly and can fully enjoy your experience.

SAFETY

Honeybourne Pottery is a working studio environment, and due care and attention must be given at all times. While we take every precaution to ensure a safe space, we are not liable for any accidents or injuries sustained while at the studio.

  • Jewellery (except wedding bands) should not be worn while working with clay, and long hair must be tied back, especially when using the potter’s wheel.

  • Sensible clothing and footwear (that you don’t mind getting messy) should be worn. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings, including clothing, shoes, watches, jewellery, or mobile devices. We recommend leaving valuables in a safe place before attending your workshop.

  • No food should be consumed in the working studio. Drinks are permitted but must be in lidded cups.

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

GIFT VOUCHERS

  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

  • Vouchers can be extended for an additional 3 months upon payment of a 20% handling fee. This must be agreed in writing, and payment must be received before the original expiry date.

  • All standard cancellation policies apply to voucher holders.

TECHNICAL ISSUES / BREAKAGES

  • All ceramic work is handled and fired by experienced, trained staff. While every care is taken, ceramics inherently carry a risk of technical failure, cracks, or explosions, for which we cannot be held responsible. Payment for these pieces is still required to cover materials and firing costs.

  • Any equipment damaged due to negligence or improper handling must be repaired or replaced by the person(s) responsible.

COLLECTION OF WORK

  • Please collect your finished ceramic pieces as soon as possible after receiving our notification email. This helps us keep our storage area clear and prevents accidental damage.

  • Uncollected work will be disposed of after 6 weeks from the date of our email.

  • If you are attending a workshop from further afield, we can arrange postal delivery. However, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage during transit via Royal Mail.

PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Photography is permitted in the studio, but please be mindful of others when taking photos or videos.

  • We occasionally capture photos or videos during workshops for use on our social media pages and website. Permission will always be sought before doing so.

DATA PROTECTION

  • Any personal information provided will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.

  • Your contact details will never be shared with third parties.

  • Personal data is stored securely and used solely for processing your booking.
