SCHOOL WORKSHOP VISITS
We have many years of experience delivering accessible and fun workshops to schools and special needs groups all over the West Midlands. Our workshops provide children of all ages and abilities the chance to experiment and explore their creativity in a new way.
Clay is a flexible medium and can be incorporated easily into a wide range of curriculum or fun based activities. We can tailor workshops to your class requirements, some popular past workshops include collaborate sculptures and tile projects, Greek theatre masks, ancient dwellings and Egyptian canopic jars - the potential is endless! Depending on the chosen theme, children can enjoy hand-building a fabulous clay creation using the slabbing or coiling technique. The children’s masterpiece will be taken back to our studio to dry thoroughly before they are fired in our kiln. Return of work will then be arranged approx. 2 weeks after the workshop has taken place.

TESTIMONIALS
"It has been brilliant to have been able to have visited Honeybourne Pottery for the past three years with my Y6 pupils. We have always received such a fantastic welcome and it is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience first-hand what it is like to work in an artists' studio. The expertise on offer from Annabel and Alan is second-to-none and the children are able to produce work of the highest quality. We have linked our work to our topic on Ancient Greece and have thrown pots as well as creating theatre masks. I have been impressed by the value for money from our visit, but most importantly, the overall experience for the children. They are still talking about it now!"

They are always willing to fit into the schools overcrowded timetable and happily deal with classes of 30+ pupils of all ability levels.
